The Westfield District Court presiding First Justice is the Honorable Philip A. Contant. Arraignments, Pre-trial Conferences, violation of probation hearings, and motions are heard every day Monday through Friday. The Westfield District Court conducts jury trials one full week during every month. During the jury week, the Westfield District Court often has a second judge brought into the courthouse to hear jury trials. There are three different courtrooms in the Westfield District Court. The main courtroom is on the first floor; there are two smaller courtrooms on the second floor. The Hampden County District Attorney also has an office in the building and is also located on the second floor.
The Clerk-Magistrate is Carol J. Kantany- Casartello. She and her staff preside over show cause hearing's, probable cause hearing's, and motor vehicle citation hearings; which are all heard during the week.
The Chief Probation Officer is James J. Lyons.
