November 2017 - License & CDL Restored
Facts:
My client had previously been charged with Negligent Operation of Motor Vehicle, OUI-Liquor, and Leave Scene of Property Damage in 2016. His right to operate a commercial motor vehicle was revoked for a year. Additionally, the police filed an immediate threat application with the Registry of Motor Vehicles as a result of my client's charges, and the Registry suspended my client's license indefinitely. The Negligent Operation of Motor Vehicle and the OUI-Liquor charges were both dismissed, and the Leave Scene of Property Damage charge was continued without a finding. Despite this, my client still did not have his CDL or license, so my client filed an appeal of the suspension with the Registry.
Outcome:
I successfully presented my client's case to the Registry Board of Appeals in Springfield. Ultimately, the Board of Appeals voted to modify the decision of the Registry of Motor Vehicles. They ordered the Registry of Motor to reinstate his license as well as his CDL license. This was an amazing result.
