Springfield District Court presiding First Justice is the Honorable William J. Boyle. Arraignments, pretrial conferences, motion hearings, violation of probation hearings, are heard throughout the week. Each month the court designates a week to hear jury trials. During that week the Court usually has a second judge to hear the jury trials.
The Clerk-Magistrate is John S. Gay. He and his staff preside over all probable cause/show cause hearings. The show cause hearings are heard throughout the week.
The Hampden County district attorney also has an office on the first floor of the Springfield District Court. There are usually two assistant district attorneys assigned to the Springfield District Court and victim witness advocate.
The Chief Probation Officer, Terence O'Neil is also located on the main floor and the staffed by over five different probation officers.
The Springfield District Court is accessible using the following routes of the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority: Blue 6, Blue 7, Green 1, Green 2, Green 5 and Green 8.
There are several paid garages around the courthouse as well as metered street parking.
