Northampton District Court presiding First Justice is the Honorable W. Michael Goggins. Arraignments, pretrial conferences, motion hearings, violation of probation hearings, are heard throughout the week. Each month the court designates a week to hear jury trials. During that week the Court usually has a second judge to hear the jury trials.
The Clerk-Magistrate is Darren Alston. He and his staff preside over all probable cause/show cause hearings. The show cause hearings are heard throughout the week.
The Hampshire County district attorney also has an office on the first floor of the Northampton District Court. There is usually two assistant district attorney assigned to the Northampton District Court and victim witness advocate.
The Chief Probation Officer, Jane M. Pendergast, is also located on the main floor and the staffed by over five different probation officers.

The Northampton District Court is accessible by the following routes of the Pioneer Valley Transit Authority: Route 39, Route 39E, Route B43, Route M40, Route R42 and Route R44.

There is paid metered parking available on the streets as well as in two lots located near the courthouse.
