The other week, Attorney Bruno took part in a webinar involving crime laboratory accreditation process. There were three panelists who led the discussion: Kenneth E. Melson, Laurel J. Farrell, and Detective Lieutenant Robert J. Garrett. Kenneth E. Melson is the former acting director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives in the United States. Laurel J. Farrell is the Senior Accreditation Program Manager for the ANAB Forensics accreditation programs. Lastly, Detective Lieutenant Robert J. Garrett has over thirty years of experience in Law Enforcement, although now retired. These knowledgeable individuals were involved in the webinar specifically designed for defense attorneys, as well as prosecutors. They discussed how crime laboratory accreditation and certification information can affect the courtroom. Attorney Bruno completed this webinar and as a result received Continuing Legal Education credits for doing so.
